Alvarado, Texas Residents Run Amok

Anytime
Alvarado, TX

Residents of the small central Texas community of Alvarado demonstrate their religious zeal and their corresponding disdain for civil government, to wit, the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

The commercial looking sign over a truck trailer pronouncing Alvarado to be a city under God is located near central Alvarado, just off I-35. The other, a make shift sign on a hillside about 10 miles further south of the town, (click to enlarge) urges the repentance of existing Christians at RepentChristians.org. A local phone number for Jesus and God is provided on an accompanying sign.

Oregon Canine Eats Owner's Toes While He Naps

Oregonian has toes eaten by pet dog............yech

Mar 04 2011

ROSEBURG, Ore. — A man awakened from a nap to discover that his dog had eaten three of his toes. When the animal refused to cough up the purloined digits, James Little (now Littler) called 911 to report his missing appendages. He later told the Associated Press that he is "doing fine," which prompted a psychiatric evaluation of the man.

Little, 61, called 911 on Tuesday to say his dog had eaten the body parts while he was sleeping. The photo above depicts Little's toes prior to being eaten.

Little suffers from diabetes, of which one symptom is numbness in the hands or feet.

The Japanese breed dog, a Shiba Inu, probably was acting instinctively to remove diseased flesh according to Douglas County Animal Control Deputy Lee Bartholomew.

Dogs have been known to eat dead or diseased human flesh. A family's dog in Illinois ate the toes of a 10-year-old girl's left foot while she slept last December. She had a sore on her foot.

In August, a dog in Michigan bit off most of its owner's infected big toe after the man passed out from alcohol. The man had diabetes, and the animal was thought to be attracted to a festering wound, or, could have been an alcoholic.

Little has placed the dog for adoption, pending an examination and a 10-day quarantine to determine it does not have rabies. "We are going to find a new home for it," Bartholomew said.

The dog was taken to Roseburg's Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center, where executive director Wendy Kang said the animal is healthy but appears anxious. One would think.

Little was in fair condition at a hospital and expected to be released later Friday.

Rare Javan Rhino Caught In Camera Trap

World's 'rarest' mammal, the Javan rhino, caught on camera in Indonesian park

Four Javan rhinos, among the Earth's most endangered species -- and possibly the rarest mammal -- have been captured on a motion-activated camera deep inside Indonesia's Ujung Kulon National Park. The two adults and two calves were caught on two separate videos taken in December and released this week by the World Wildlife Fund.

As few as 40 of the rhinos are believed to exist and none are in captivity. A WWF scientist called the sightings "great news," because it shows the animals are breeding in the park's rain forest at the western tip of Java.

"If we lose the population in the wild, we've lost them all," said Dr. Eric Dinerstein, chief scientist at WWF-US in a statement.

Still, a natural disaster could wipe out the rhinos' habitat, and they remain a target of poachers who prize them for their supposed medicinal properties.

Shocking Discovery - Anti-Gay Pastor Arrested for Masturbating At Children's Playground

Grant Storms Arrested: Anti-Gay Christian Pastor Charged With Public Masturbation

03/1/11
New Orleans, LA

Rev. Grant Storms, a well known anti-gay, Christian pastor from Louisiana, was arrested last week for masturbating at a public park, in the vicinity of a carousel and playground where children were present.

According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, one woman saw Storms parked in his van "looking at the playground area that contained children playing, with his zipper down...," the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office report read. After judging that Storms was masturbating, the woman and another mother who witnessed the event both alerted deputies.

When apprehended by police, Storms claimed he had been urinating into a bottle. He was booked for obscenity -- charges that he denied -- and then released due to overcrowding in the jail.

At a bizarre press conference on Tuesday Storms blamed "pornography" for the incident. It wasn't his fault. Pornography made him do it.

"Pornography is destructive and it can ruin a person's life, and it ruined my life," Storms said at the press conference, admitting that he had his hands in his pants, but insisting that he wasn't masturbating. "Do I have problems? Yes. Did I do something wrong? Yes."

Despite his "apology," which he also extended to the gay community, of which he has been a virulent critic and prominent opponent, Storms also denied claims that he had been "looking at the children" in the area.

All the time he was seated in his van with both his hands inside his pants he never looked at any of those children, according to Reverend Storms.

Reverend Storms has been a very vocal critic of the gay community and tried to get the gay pride festival, Southern Decadence, shut down after he videotaped men participating in sex acts and masturbating in the street. "It's pretty clear now what he used those videotapes for," according to another, pedophile minister in Baton Rouge.

Men Behaving Badly

Man claims he was trying to shoot family dog, killed wife instead

March 1, 2011

A San Bernardino County man claims he fatally shot his wife while aiming for the family dog. He is being held in a local jail, pending investigation.

Twin Peaks resident Brant Balunga (not his real name) was initially booked on suspicion of manslaughter, but the charges were amended after homicide detectives uncovered additional evidence, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Balunga told investigators that he was trying to shoot his dog but hit his wife, who was shot once in the head, the department said. His wife, Faith Balunga, was pronounced dead at the scene Friday afternoon. It was not immediately clear why the man wanted to kill the family dog.

The dog is a beautiful, well-trained golden retriever and has won several local dog shows. The slain wife not so much.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Steve Bimbarger or Sgt. Don Klopper.

California Man Takes the 'Missus' Out For a Late Night "Joy" Ride

Not the actual minivan and probably not the real wife....but the clothes match the van's color so........

A California man is in jail after driving 35 miles on a freeway with his wife clinging to a windshield wiper blade on the hood of their minivan, police said Wednesday.

Christopher Michael Carroll, 36, (shown above) is being held without bail at the San Joaquin County Jail on charges of attempted murder, kidnapping and domestic assault.

After a family squabble the man got into the family's minivan around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. His wife attempted to prevent his departure by crawling up on the hood of the minivan and holding on to a wiper blade.

This didn't deter Carroll who kept on driving and drove onto a freeway, where, according to witnesses, he reached speeds of 100 MPH. Police were receiving 911 calls from motorists describing the 'flying woman' on the hood of the van.

When Carroll eventually slowed to take an exit ramp, his wife was able to roll off the vehicle. She was taken to a hospital by a following motorist where she was treated for hypothermia and minor scrapes and bruises.

Carroll, depicted above, returned home and was arrested shortly afterward by police. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

The wild minivan ride happened several days after Carroll was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to police.

On Feb. 23, the cops received a phone call from a witness who reported that Carroll had climbed into a 6-foot-deep trash bin in Manteca (Spanish for lard) and was threatening to drown himself in five inches of water that had collected at the bottom. Carroll claimed he didn't know how to swim.

Officers were dispatched to talk him out of the trash bin and said he obviously was on some kind of drugs. Duh!

Carroll was booked into county jail that afternoon and released the following day, which turned out to be a big mistake in light of his subsequent joy ride with his wife.
