(Pigeon mule)
12/6/2012 A Brazilian prisoner allowed to keep pigeons in his cell came up with what he believed was a fool proof plan of evading security to bring in supplies of drugs and cell phones – he used his feathered friends!

Reports in Brazil said prison security officials were baffled by how inmates seemed to be having easy access to drugs and mobile phones, even though security checks were very tight.

It wasn’t until a sharp eyed prison guard noticed that some pigeons seemed to be having trouble flying up to the roof of the jail, that a search of the birds was ordered. The pigeons were found to be carrying tiny packages containing drugs and mobile phones.

A further search of visitors leaving the prison found one carrying two pigeons, which would presumable have returned to their master in the cell with the next consignment!
