SNYDER, Okla. — The police chief, the mayor and a councilman in Snyder resigned Friday amid an uproar over nude photos of the chief's 300-pound, tattooed wife that she posted on an adult Web site.

Dozens of residents of the town of 1,500 in southwestern Oklahoma had demanded Police Chief Tod Ozmun resign, and the district attorney recommended an obscenity investigation, but the City Council decided last week that the pictures were protected by the First Amendment.

On Friday, Ozmun, Mayor Dale Moore and Councilman Clifford Barnard said they were stepping down because they were fed up with the public attention and criticism of the chief. Another council member resigned earlier over the council's support of Ozmun.

Ozmun's wife, Doris, 43, told The Oklahoman newspaper that she was removing the photos from the Internet, and they appeared to have been taken down Friday.

The police chief said he has had long discussions with his wife about the photos but does not tell her what to do.

"My wife is 6-foot-3 and weighs 300 pounds," said Ozmun, who became chief in January 2005. "If there is somebody that thinks they can control her, have at it. I have tried for 11 years and haven't been able to."

Barnard, the councilman, said he didn't want to be associated with the police chief's detractors, "because I've never read anywhere in the Good Book that the Lord wanted us to persecute those that did not hold the same morals or values."

The mayor told The Oklahoman he believes the way Ozmun has been treated is wrong, and "I don't want to work in a community like this."

Uptight, conservative District Attorney John Wampler has asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate. "In my opinion, the photos that I was shown are obscene based on local community standards," he said. Wampler was unable to define what those standards are, however.

We tried to obtain photos of Ms. Oxmun for our readers to judge for themselves but the District Attorney had taken them home to examine them closely for possible use as evidence.

Recently, a teen-aged girl, 15, was charged with sexual abuse of children, possession of child pornography and dissemination of child pornography.

It seems she had taken and posted nude photos of herself, some while engaged in a variety of sexual acts, on the Internet and had sent such photos to individuals she met in chat rooms.

The cops came to her home with a warrant and seized her computer which held dozens of photos. The cops stated they needed to carefully search and review all the photographic evidence on her computer. According to rumors, more than 50 officers volunteered for the tedious task.

So who were these children she allegedly was abusing? Why herself, of course. She was abusing and exploiting herself, a child of 15.

In one of his final non-acts as outgoing governor of New Mexico, Bill Richardson declined to grant a pardon to the notorious young gunslinger, who was alleged to have killed anywhere from 9 to 21 men in his short, violent career as an outlaw. Billy was small and scruffy, possessed a quick draw and a quicker temper and had shot dead at least one sheriff and two sheriff's deputies before being gun downed himself by Sheriff Pat Garrett, in 1891, in what was almost an accidental shooting. It took place in a darkened room and the sheriff wasn't certain who he was shooting until the body was examined.

Billy was left on his own at a tender young age (his widowed mother died of consumption after moving Billy to New Mexico with her, and his step-father refused to take him in) in the wild and violent West and fell in with cattle rustlers and petty thieves.

The "Kid" who was 21 when he died, was romanticized by some as a modern version of Robin Hood, robbing the rich and giving to the poor. But there is scant evidence to support this claim. In the final analysis Billy was a 19th century cop killer.

At the height of Zimbabwa's hyper inflation, in 2007, $100 trillion would buy a small bag of groceries. School teachers complained that they no longer could teach children the meaning of numbers and that a generation of numeral illiterate citizens was being created.

Dead Birds Falling From Sky Cover Arkansas Town

BEEBE, Ark. — Wildlife officials are trying to determine what caused more than 3,000 blackbirds to die and fall from the sky over an Arkansas town. Others say the people of Beebe are involved in Black Magic and there have been rumors of vampires in the town.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission said Saturday that it began receiving reports about the dead birds about 11:30 p.m. the previous night. The birds fell over a 1-mile area of Beebe, and an aerial survey indicated that no other dead birds were found outside of that area. This bolstered the claims of those alleging it was Black Magic, according to a local Shaman.

Commission ornithologist Karen Rowe said the birds showed physical trauma, and she speculated that "the flock could have been hit by lightning or high-altitude hail."
Or vampires according to the local loonies.

The commission said that New Year's Eve revelers shooting off fireworks in the area could have startled the birds from their roost and caused them to die from stress. This comment was immediately pooh poohed by fans of the musical group The Beatles, who cited evidence of Blackbirds Singing in the Dead of Night.

Robby King, a wildlife officer for the agency, collected about 65 dead birds, which will be sent for testing to the state Livestock and Poultry Commission lab and the National Wildlife Health Center lab in Madison, Wis.

Rowe said that similar events have occurred elsewhere and that test results "usually were inconclusive." She said she doubted the birds were poisoned. A local group of Wiccans agreed the birds were not poisoned and said it obviously was the work of vampires. "Whatever happened here, it wern't no natural thang," said a local redneck interviewed from the bed of his pick-up truck, where he resides.

Brother Beats Brother With Crow Bar Over Bite Taken Of Chicken Piece - Mom Real Culprit

AKRON, Ohio, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Police in Ohio say a man beat his brother with a crowbar during a dispute about a piece of fried chicken with a bite taken out of it.

The alleged victim, Thomas Morris, 41, of Akron told investigators the incident began Sunday afternoon when his 37-year-old brother Tony threw a piece of chicken at him at their mother's home while they were both visiting.

Thomas Morris said his brother accused him of taking a bite out of the chicken piece and placing it back in the frying pan. He told investigators he suggested they take the dispute outside and his brother then attacked him with a crowbar, inflicting a 3-inch laceration on his forehead and other wounds.

The elder brother, who was treated at a local hospital, said Tony Morris fled after Thomas got away and retrieved a shovel from a neighbor's house with which he intended to beat Tony.

Police said they were called to the home by the mother, who admitted taking a bite out of the piece of chicken in question.

An arrest warrant was issued Sunday for Tony Morris on suspicion of felonious assault, domestic violence and menacing by chicken.

Phoenix - These undated photos released by the Chandler Police Department in Arizona show Rachel Katherine Brock and her mom, Susan Brock. Chandler police say they have arrested Rachel, 21, the daughter of a Maricopa County Supervisor, on suspicion of sexual conduct with the same minor her mother is accused of sexually abusing over a three-year period. The boy, now 17, ratted out the women for undisclosed reasons. One officer, Felix Smith, speaking on condition of anonymity, (sorry Felix) said he believed the youth was simply worn out.

Rachel Katherine Brock, 21, was arrested Wednesday on three counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of transmitting obscene material as part of an ongoing investigation surrounding her mother, 48-year-old Susan Brock.

Both women were being held without bond at the Maricopa County jail.

In Rachel Brock's initial court appearance, acting attorney John Rock argued that the judge should free her on bond because there appeared to be no physical evidence to support any of the charges. Rock also said the teen would have been asked if he had been a victim of any other sexual abuse when Susan Brock was arrested in October.

"It appears that he's given contradictory information," Rock said. But the judge wasn't persuaded.

It was unclear whether Rachel Brock had a permanent attorney. Susan Brock's attorney, Pheron Hall III, did not immediately return a call seeking comment Thursday.

Rachel Brock is the daughter of Maricopa County Supervisor Fulton Brock, and Susan Brock is his wife of 28 years. The family lived together in the Phoenix suburb of Chandler but Fulton Brock filed for divorce after his wife's arrest. Now the family is busted up totally, with 2 of them living in jail.

Rachel Brock is accused of committing numerous sex acts with the teenage boy between February 2007 and August 2008, and sending him nude photos and a video of herself masturbating; none of the acts involved intercourse. The boy was 14 at the time, and Rachel Brock was 18, classifying the crimes as dangerous crimes against children.

Police said that between August 2007 and October of this year, the teen met Susan Brock for sexual trysts. Susan Brock reportedly provided the boy with cell phones, and police seized text messages reportedly recording sexual exchanges between the two.

Chandler police Sgt. Joe Favazzo said it appears that Susan and Rachel Brock didn't know about each other's relationship with the teen.

"You have a situation where you have a mother who's abusing a juvenile victim, seemingly unknowingly to the daughter, or vice versa, and the daughter is also abusing the same victim," Favazzo said. "I just can't imagine a mother and daughter having this conversation, and the investigators say they don't have anything indicating the two of them knew about it."

The boy, now 17, told police that Rachel Brock began abusing him in 2007 by inappropriately touching him during a trip to California, and it escalated to other sexual contact in a vehicle about a month later, according to a court document released Thursday. The boy also told police there was sexual contact with Rachel Brock at the Brocks' home and at a property owned by the Brock family.

Susan Brock was arrested in October on two counts of child molestation and two counts of sexual contact with a minor involving the same boy.

The teen told police Susan Brock would pick him up at school or home and drive him to secluded areas where they would have sexual contact in her car, although there was no intercourse, according to a court document. Authorities say Susan Brock also helped the boy meet his girlfriend and provide places where the young couple could have sex.

In a statement Thursday, Fulton Brock said "'shocked and devastated' are not sufficient words to describe the news this day or what has transpired over the last two months."

"I have filed to divorce my wife. I cannot divorce my daughter," Fulton Brock said. "She is my blood. I will always be her dad. And she needs me now more than ever."

A third woman, Christian Hart Weems, 37, was arrested in the case Tuesday on suspicion of obstructing a criminal investigation and conspiracy to commit computer tampering. She's accused of deleting potentially incriminating e-mails between the boy and Susan Brock. Police say Weems is a friend of Susan Brock. Weems probably wanted to get in on the action with the boy.
