Egyptian Funeral Turns Into Party

Would be mourners at a funeral quickly shift gears when dead man wakes up and hold a party instead.

The body of Hamdi Hafez al-Nubi, a waiter from Naga al-Simmanm, was being prepared for burial when the doctor who was to sign the death certificate discovered the body was warm.

The doctor checked the waiter's vital signs and found he was breathing. Hamdi's mother fainted when she learned he was alive.

Upon hearing the news, mourners opted to switch gears with the funeral and turn the gathering into a celebration.

Hamdi had been pronounced dead after doctors said he suffered a heart attack on the job.
