Two Christchurch men were arrested on Friday night, after police discovered their car contained 91 dozen beers. (1092 bottles)

Police said the mrn, who were driving a Mazda 323 on Opawa Rd, were pulled over because the car was "driving on its springs".

The hatchback was being weighed down by 91 dozen Millers beer bottles that had been stolen from a nearby warehouse.

A police spokesperson said there was "little room in the car" for the men with all that beer.

The two men, both in their twenties, were apprehended.
