Billings man accused of faking his own kidnapping

A 51-year-old Montana man found bound near Livingston this summer with a bag over his head has been charged with staging his own abduction.

One of the 12 men shown here could be Ellison but the editors are not sure and didn't want to risk a mistake..

Lionel Scott Ellison was arrested Wednesday and appeared in Justice Court by video from the county jail the following day. He was charged with fabricating physical evidence and something else. His arraignment was set for Dec. 23 when he will receive an unwanted gift from S. Claus.

Ellison is believed to have concocted a similar story two years ago when he told authorities he was bound, beaten and thrown into the Yellowstone River. But prosecutors said he faked that incident also to avoid sentencing in an arson case.

Ellison told investigators his more recent kidnapping was the work of “a large African American and a small, mousy Mexican".

Ellison, who stays busy breaking laws, also has several pending criminal matters in Yellowstone County, including accusations he violated a protective order involving his wife while awaiting trial on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, against his wife.

A court appointed psychiatrist reported that Ellison has the mental capacity of a small garter snake.

BERLIN — German police say an "old hippy" is facing possible prosecution for his version of the, ahem, highest Christmas tree _ a festively decorated two-meter-tall marijuana plant.

Koblenz police spokesman Ralf Schomisch says officers raided the apartment of the 58-year-old man following a tip Monday and uncovered a cache of 5.3 ounces (150 grams) of marijuana.

Then in the living room they discovered the tree _ a "pot" plant adorned with Christmas lights. The suspect, whose name was not released, said he had planned to decorate it further and put presents under it at Christmas.

But it was not to be. Schomisch said Thursday that authorities "had to destroy this pre-Christmas dream" and seize the plant as evidence.

XXXXXXXX, Ga. — Students in a xxxxxxx State University business class got an anatomy lesson illustrating pricing in the porn industry.

Campus police say a part-time instructor took his clothes off while teaching a class at the suburban Atlanta college late last month. Police arrested 57-year-old XXXXXX XXXXXX XXXXXXXX of XXXXXXXX on Monday and charged him with public indecency after a student reported what happened to university officials. The student's name was withheld by college officials for no good reason.

Professor XXXXXXXX was released from jail Tuesday on $5,000 bond.

His attorney said his client had done nothing wrong and that he had been directed by his department head to "do something exciting to bring life to that boring marketing class." He said XXXXXXXX had worked on his class presentation in front of a mirror and had purchased Viagra tablets with his own funds.

University officials said XXXXXXXX, who worked in XXXXXXXX State University's business department on a contract basis, will no longer teach at the college.

XXXXXXXX, a retired porn star, told reporters he was considering suing the university for violating his 1st Amendment rights, for money damages and for an injunction returning him to the classroom. He said 90% of his students had applauded his class presentation with only one "old biddy" complaining.

A university spokesperson had no comment.

A group of Berliners, angered by rising rents in Germany's capital city, are calling attention to their cause in a way sure to shock: by stripping naked, according to AOL News.

The protesters, several groups under the umbrella organization, Hedonist International, use guerrilla tactics to promote their frustrations, infiltrating apartment viewings as prospective renters. Once inside the overpriced flat, they put on plastic masks, take their clothes off to reveal slogans painted on their bodies like, "Too Expensive" and "Rip Off", blast techno music and dance--fleeing before the police arrive.

Their reason for going in the buff?

"Berliners don't have a lot of purchasing power - some people have to pay so much rent that they can no longer afford clothes," reads the group's website. "That's why on Sun., Sept. 26, we went to another flat viewing in Kreuzberg without a stitch on. Although the apartment passed our party test, we were pissed about the rent of 11,50 euros per square meter - that's excluding utilities and heating costs. Trying to find someone stupid enough to pay that price borders on illicit profiteering ."

The group admits to being inspired by anti-rent activists in Paris and Hamburg who have held similar demonstrations against increasing rents.

While the city is still considered less expensive than other global metropolises like New York, London or Tokyo, rents have increased in recent years, leaving a shortage of affordable housing. Trendy neighborhoods like Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg -- once popular for cheap housing with immigrants, students and artists -- are becoming more expensive as gentrification increases, with housing consultancy Emprica citing a 14 percent rise in rents in the past year.

If anything, their romping around in the nude is more of a nuisance to the apartment viewers and real estate agents than a way to stop increasing rents.

"I don't go to an apartment viewing to see cocks," one prospective renter told German news website, The Local.

"We want to shock in order to get our political message across," one of the protesters told German magazine Der Spiegel.

Protesting naked is a popular protest shock method of choice for demonstrators, with one woman recently stripping nude to protest TSA pat-downs, a group of cyclists going naked to demonstrate car culture in Peru and Brazilian students donning their birthday suits in support of a schoolmate who was expelled for wearing a mini dress.
