World's Shortest Man - Just Over 24 Inches
Tiny, 18 year-old Nepalese man is shortest in world
Oct. 13, 2010
The world's shortest man, Thapa Magar, requested for his birthday that the world be adjusted to fit him. It was estimated by a team of accountants and economists that the total cost of retro-fitting the world would be approximately $468,775,850,647,585,203.00, and would require 100 years to complete. Ninety two of the world's largest nations said they would refuse to make the adjustments and pointed out that it would be cheaper to build Mr. Magar his own personal miniature world but stopped short of offering to help with the financing of the tiny world. Mr. Magar told reporters he did not want his own world but wanted to travel to Rome, Paris, New York and Hollywood and planned to marry a tall Swedish model.
Magar is shown above with an unidentified woman and with his father, Rup Magar, who is explaining that the world has refused his request. Thapa was almost killed several years ago when his father, Rup, barely missed stepping on him in the dark. Since then he has worn a small, blinking red light at night.
