A famous South African professional guide and experienced kayaker, Hendrik Coetzee, was snatched from his kayak by a large crocodile and apparently swallowed whole by the reptile. (See photo inset above right) No one was willing to search for the body in the heavily crocodile infested waters of the Lakuga River in the heart of Congo.
Authorities said the man probably had already been digested by the croc and his remains would not be pretty even if he were cut out of the croc's belly.
